Well now.

So my endeavors in learning crochet have not been fruitful. I wasn't expecting this to be so difficult. After being an avid knitter for two years I feel like this should be coming more easily to me... I'm attempting to make an amigurumi. (Essentially a cute miniature Japanese crocheted animal.) If anyone can give me some tips on how to make this learning process easier please let me know!

I started reading Stephen King's Misery today and I completely forgot how great his novels are. Of course they aren't presently considered the most merited pieces of literature but I see many things to be appreciated. His exceeding talent for horror writing baffles me. I can't seem to put my finger on what exactly makes his stories so subtlety and overtly terrifying at the same time. There's definitely something superior to be acknowledged in his novels and I'll fight any literature snob who says otherwise.

Our world is so rich in art and literature. I feel like I need to sample all of it.
